What many notice about Ansley Park upon first entering is its lovely, well-maintained landscaping, curvilinear streets, mature trees and picture-perfect parks. Often deemed Atlanta’s first garden suburb, Ansley Park’s appealing layout can be attributed to the architect who also envisioned and was instrumental in the creation of New York’s Central Park, Frederick Law Olmstead.
There’s an array of architectural styles on display, and homes range greatly making it possible to find the perfect space for a family of any size. Some date back to the early 1900s when the community was conceived and have been beautifully restored and enhanced over the years, but you can also find newer construction in some areas.
A few of the larger attractions that draw people to the area include the Woodruff Arts Center – where you can hear the Atlanta Symphony perform – the Atlanta College of Art, plus the High Museum of Art and Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Nearby Piedmont Park also hosts an array of festivals and events throughout the year.
Golfers come to the area for the experience of The Ansley Park Golf Club and the Piedmont Driving Club, two long-standing and esteemed private clubs that call this community home.
